Josephine H. Martin

Principal

Josephine H. Martin is Principal of Management for Sustainability LLC providing sustainability, environmental, health, safety, and quality consulting. Josephine holds a BS in Chemistry and a BS in Mathematics from Eastern Mennonite University. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Lehigh University. Josephine has over 20 years in sustainability, environmental, health, safety, and quality in the electronics manufacturing industry with companies including Ford, Visteon, Unisys and Sprague. Josephine has over 14 years in consulting, assisting clients in developing, implementing, auditing, and certifying environmental, health, safety, and quality management systems; assisting clients in obtaining air, water, stormwater, wastewater, and waste (residual, infectious, and electronics) permits; and assisting clients in developing various environmental emergency plans including Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Contingency Plans; and Integrated Contingency Plans (EPA One Plan, Pennsylvania Integrated Environmental Emergency Plans). Josephine consulted with companies in the pharmaceutical, chemical, waste, electronics, and other industries. 

 

Josephine has been active in the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP) as a Director on the Cyber Chapter Board. Josephine was active as a member of the AHMP Philadelphia Chapter since the 1990’s. Josephine is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) since 1986. She is active on the Institute of Hazardous Materials Managers (IHMM) Micro-credential Task Force developing and achieving the Certified Pandemic Preparedness Specialist (CPPS) credential. Josephine was awarded the Certified Sustainability and Resilience Professional (CSRP) from the National Registry of Environmental Professionals.  Josephine is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) since 1985 participating as member with the Division of Environmental Chemistry and the Small Chemical Business Division.
